Scholarship Applications Due April 2, 2010

The East Islip Soccer Club is pleased to announce that applications for the EISC Scholarship Program are now available.  Just click the link on this page and download.  Directions for filling out and submitting the application are contained on the application itself. You are required to attach an official transcript as part of the application.

Applications are also available in the Guidance Offices of East Islip High School and Islip High School.  Graduating students from public or private schools other than East Islip or Islip are encouraged to apply.

Basic minimum criteria to apply is that the applicant must be a graduating high school student attending any post-secondary school; and that the student must have played for the East Islip Soccer Club for a minimum of six (6) seasons (not necessarily consecutive).  Applicants are judged in five areas: academics, extracurricular activities, community service, service to the East Islip Soccer Club, and an essay on how soccer has affected their lives.

Last year the Club was able to give twenty $750 scholarships to worthy candidates, the funding for which came from the proceeds of the Club’s indoor tournament.  The number and value of this year’s scholarships has yet to be determined.
